RRR Transformation Party and Slipcover DVD Giveaway

Our last linky party had over 120 entries and the quality of work was outstanding. It gave us plenty to do visiting your sites, cleaning drool out of our keyboards, and trying to find our favorites – an impossible task.
It All Started With Paint
So this week we’ve asked blogger extraordinaire Linda with It All Started With Paint to use her keen design eye to help us by finding her favorite Repurpose, Remodel, Reveal projects out of the linkups. After all, she did take both top spots in the Reader’s Choice category from the last RRR party based on number of clicks – she’s kinda entitled to be a judge.  Plus we dig her DIY projects, witty writing, and classy taste.
It All Started With Paint
Linda’s got a discerning eye so she’ll be looking for transformations that strike her fancy. I’m not one to advocate that you kiss up to the guest judge, all I’m saying is, what could it hurt? Check out her website and get to know all about Linda, her style, and what makes her blog an inspirational stopping point (here’s a tip: if it can be painted, she’ll do it). You won’t be disappointed, and you might just figure out what it takes to make her swoon.

Current Giveaway
This week’s party has a little something extra special, mostly ‘cuz we have awesome readers and we like giving free stuff away. Custom Slipcovers By Shelley is offering a copy of her best-selling DVD “How to Slipcover”!
Slipcover DVD
The DVD goes over all the basics you need to know to transform a piece of furniture into a stunner with slipcovers. Shelley has been so successful with her business of making these professionally that she’s paid off her house doing it…and you don’t get there without being really good eh? You can check out the testimonials here, or gawk at the awesome transformations here.
Custom Slipcovers By Shelley
Entering this giveaway is a snap with multiple ways to enter for both blog-owners and readers alike (feel free to enter all three ways if you’d like):

  • You get one entry for each project you link up – max of 5.
  • One entry for leaving a comment letting us know which of your projects you’d like to slipcover.
  • One entry for leaving a comment telling us which of Shelley’s projects you love the most.

The Giveaway will last until Thursday evening when the party closes. Winner will be announced at the RRR features shebang next Friday and will be done by random drawing.

And just so ya know, we weren’t bribed to give this away, we just figure that if it’s something we’d love to have, chances are, you probably would too.

Let’s get the party started!

And here we go. Link up any of your transformation projects – so long as it’s not been shared here before.

Since we’re not big fans of rules, here are some suggested “guidelines” and some general information for the Repurpose, Remodel, Reveal party:

  • Please link up your transformations only.
  • We’ll be looking for project reveals, repurposing, remodels, decorating, furniture transformation etc., so please no food, linky parties, giveaways, etsy shops etc.
  • We’ll announce the “reader’s choice” based on clicks as well as the personal favorites of both our guest judge and ourselves next Friday.
  • Feel free to grab a button, link back, or follow us in some capacity, it helps everyone know we like to party over here.

We’ll host this party the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month with features the 2nd and 4th Friday, so get working on your next project!

Thanks for linking up, we’re excited to look through your projects!

Please join us the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month for the
Repurpose-Remodel-Reveal
Linky Party!

  26. And boom! Just for this party I quit working, dashed around like a mad woman, and got my wall done. Cause you all are just the coolest. And I just like linking to “The Rooster and the Hen” on my blog and facebook…it’s such a fun name.

  27. Thanks for stopping by Yby5 and letting us know about your link up party-thanks! Love your blog…full of great ideas and pictures. Added it to my favorites!
How timely with your giveaway…I’ve been wanting to slipcover some club chairs I have, but am totally intimidated by the process. This DVD would be a great starting point since I seem to be avoiding my living room just so I don’t have to look at those chairs :)

  28. I found Shelley’s website about a week ago and became obsessed. I went back and read every. single. entry. From the very beginning! I recently scored a darling settee with wonderful lines for $30. I’ve purchased drop cloths with the intent to make a slipcover…but I think Shelley’s DVD would give me the boost of confidence I need to get started!

  29. Meryl Streep (aka Linda & It all started with paint) sent me.

  30. Thanks so much for the link party. Can’t wait to go check out the other entrants! My first time partying here…so glad to meet you! Thanks for stopping by P3 and inviting me :)

  31. I would love to be entered into the Custom Slipcovers by Shelley giveaway. I would slipcover a small sofa (or loveseat?) that is going into an upstairs nook for a little movie viewing and gaming area for “the boys” (meaning my son AND my husband). Thanks so much!

  32. There is a grey sofa with white pillows that I just adore, on Custom Slipcovers by Shelley. One ot the pillows has a blue and white chevron fabric patch and the sofa is a gorgeous grey color ~ that I would just LOVE to have.

  33. I am linking up for the first time today. A little birdie told me about your new party!

  34. By the way, I am a big fan of Shelley’s. I even featured a project of hers on my blog one day. It was a turquoise and white graphic cover for a cushioned nursery rocking chair and ottoman. They are super cute!

  35. I would love to take a look at Shelley’s DVD … with hopes that someday I might someday slipcover a sofa that I bought in 1998. It’s so, so comfortable, but the upholstery pattern/colors is so, so not my style any more!

  36. Love your blog! I’m your newest follower :) Have a great weekend!

  42. I linked up #105 :) Thanks for hosting and the chance to win!
    Debbie

  43. I have 2 chairs that need a slipcover!
    Debbie

  44. Oh my gosh … this is too fun! Thank you for hosting this great party. I have the perfect project for one of shelley’s slipcovers. I picked up a really cute antique arm chair that is in dire need of a slipcover. The style is similar to Shelley’s Green Damask Arm Chair she posted on 2/6/10, which is also the project of hers that I’m picking as the one I love most! But, I must say I love many of her projects – she is so talented! Wow!

  45. Okay, it’s kinda freaking me out every time I stop over here to check out the party entrants and am confronted with my big giant head!

    :)

    Linda

  46. I would love to slipcover our celery green sectional, it’s getting dingy :(

  47. I’m need to make a slipcover for my living room couch and probably the chair also so this would be an awesome help!

  48. Hey guys! Thanks so much for hosting this awesome party! :-)
    Vanessa

  49. My living room couch is screaming for a new cover, but I probably should start with the chair first. This DVD sounds like something I should see before I start any project. Thank you for the opportunity.

  50. I really like her blue chair and hope I can do half as well with my chair.

  51. Love the big turquoise sectional slipcover shelly did she rocks!

  52. I am currently on the hunt for fabric to slip my loveseat, club chair and ottoman in my living room. Would LOVE Shelly’s DVD!

  53. There is no way I can pick a favorite of Shelley’s slips. I love that her work is very tailored and fitted. Often can be mistaken for an upholstered piece of furniture.

  54. I have a couch that is in good shape but my cat attacked one end and it makes me so sad. So I would like to make a slip cover for it. I’ve been wanting to up date my living room so maybe this will be the spark to begin this project.

  55. I love all of Shelly’s projects but one that I look at often is the set of parson dining room chairs that she used an eclectic group of fabrics. I would love to win this contest. Thanks for hosting it.

  56. I have a $6 chair and 6 yards of expensive fabric that I got for $3. I’ve covered two couches flying by the seat of my pants. Would love to have the DVE

  57. I love the grey & white dining room chair slipcovers.
