Someone’s Gonna Smell Good: RRR Features

I’m feeling that “just get down to business” bug, so let’s jump right in to see who grabbed our attention this week with some fantastic Repurpose – Remodel – Reveal linkups!

I had one of those “Why didn’t I think of that” moments when I saw From Generation to Generation’s embellished knobs. She took some vintage jewelry and blinged out her furniture with a little glue. Love transformations like this!

I also found myself loving on this dollar store platter turned chalkboard from Mom 4 Real – I’ve been seeing a lot of chalkboard projects lately and I’m officially inspired to try my own.

Postcards from the Ridge not only remodeled her bathroom, but she transformed an old dining room buffet into her bathroom vanity. She totally got into all three categories of RRR with this one – and doesn’t it look great!

I was left asking myself why my room doesn’t have a loft for when I want a little “me” time like the one Stone And Rose built for her son. Probably because I’d trip and bruise my spleen if I had to climb all the way up there. There’s no harm in dreaming though right?

I couldn’t pick between Just the Bee’s Knees incredible stencil job or her inspiring lamp makeover so I’ve decided to list both projects. Her house is so gorgeous, if you click over, you might never leave.

And who doesn’t follow At The Picket Fence? They have a huge link party and are the nicest pair of sister’s out there. Oh, and they can decorate and paint like no other. Check out this armoire done over in ASCP – you won’t believe the before (take a close look at the handle upgrades).

What was the top most clicked links at this weeks party you now ask? The Blooming Hydrangea’s “Little A’s Vintage Inspired Bedroom”. There are so many cute crafts and colors that would make this a favorite of any little girl.

Our second most clicked link belonged to none other than Hating Martha. Janel’s been showing off her kitchen to give us all a peak at how the queen of “imperfection” lives – and who wasn’t curious about that?

A hearty congratulations to Elizabeth G. for winning a body butter and body spray from Layers by Scentsy, you’re going to love it! Let us know which fragrances you want and we’ll have the good folks over at Scentsy get them mailed out to you!

Thanks to everyone that linked up, we hope to see you back the first Friday in May as we party all over again!

Spring Fling RRR Transformation Features

Kelly, the amazing blogger that she is, wasted no time making her way through all the links from last week’s party. Like her, we were impressed by all the innovative and inspiring transformations that you’ve been working on this spring.
Eclectically Vintage
So let’s jump in and show you what really stood out to us this week.

Kelly’s pick: “An empty spot in her screened in porch had Maple & Magnolia searching her barn for inspiration where she spotted the perfect piece (ok, we’re all jealous that she has this barn stockpile)! Watch out – I am sneaking over in the night to steal this beauty!”

Whitney’s pick: What is it about pallet projects that I just love? And when they’re painted red by Redoux? Oh yes…

Dustin’s pick: I’m writing this so I’ve decided that I’ve got to sneak in my favorite repurposed linkups along with Whitney and Kelly. Bliss Ranch transformed this “craptastic” chest of drawers in to a rockin’ piece. I thought the use of belts, drumsticks, and the writing was pure genius.

Kelly’s pick: “Betsy Speert may have gone too far with her guest bedroom because her guests may
never want to leave! Who would when they could relax while admiring the fabulous bird pottery collection and eclectic mix of tropical furniture?”

Whitney’s pick: The paper Whitney passed me with her picks on it simply said “Holy Wow” next to Stay At Home-ista’s majestic white kitchen. I’m guessing that she said that not out of a desire to run circles around her island, but because of the incredible kitchen cabinets – both inside and out. You have to see this – upgrading to silent closing drawers will no longer satisfy us now…

Kelly’s pick: “This fun boy’s bedroom from Sunshine on the Inside is full of DIY ideas! From the gutter book shelves, to the embroidery hoop monogrammed headboard, to the chalkboard backsplash on the desk that’s tucked into the closet, to the hand made duvet and artwork display… it’s a little boy’s dream!”

Whitney’s pick: An in-depth tutorial on using copper paint to transform a white dresser into a “super fab” version made this reveal a real winner in our book from Thrifty Inspirations.

So who takes the cake with the most clicks this week? Why none other than David from Cheltenham Road. We’ve mentioned David in the past and were serious…if you like humor mixed in with some wicked awesome talent, he’s your dude. You can add him to the list of talented bloggers we want to meet someday. You won’t believe what this kitchen looked like in the before shots…

And our second most clicked link at the party was one of our new found favorite husband/wife duos from This Sorta Old Life and their transformed living room. You’ll remember they did the door coffee table from a party or two ago. Yeah, they have some serious talent!

Thanks to everyone that linked up, with a special thanks to Kelly. She was such a wonderful and willing guest judge, thanks so much coming by to help us pick out some great features!

RRR Features and Slipcover DVD Winner

It’s so exciting to see all the wonderful projects that get linked up, they’re always so inspiring. We loved visiting each and every link and seeing all that talent. Thank goodness we had help from our guest judge Linda from It All Started With Paint.
Hopefully over this past week you’ve had a chance to swing by and see all of her incredible projects, especially her son’s orange, grey, and black bedroom. I guarantee you, it’s pin-worthy.  Alrighty, let’s get down to business.

Linda’s pick:
This (sorta) Old Life‘s Salvage Door Coffee Table. It’s green (upcycled green doors in fact) and practical (built in storage and wheels). Rita and Cane make an amazing team …

Dustin and Whitney’s pick:
This one was just too clever to let slide. A doggie bed made by I Am Julie B out of an end table is repurposing genius. I figure that with a four poster bed and a nickname like “princess” Julie is going to have to start serving filet mignon instead of puppy chow…
end table dog bed

Linda’s pick:
I feel Andrea’s pain over her teeny tiny bathrooms (mine are all square foot challenged) but they gave their small space big style with that bead board trimmed out tub face …amazing job Queen B and Me!
bathtub makeover
Dustin and Whitney’s pick:
Kelly from View Along The Way took us on an entertaining journey from cradle to grave of their custom built-in cabinets. She had us at “Shut up and show the pictures.” We were really drawn to this since we have to do something similar in our basement. Good stuff!

Linda’s pick:
Take the Side Street‘s Boys Room Reveal — Anna, whose profile made me smile, has included some great details in the room she created for her boys. Love the chalkboard closet and bins for magazines and books and striped drapes…

Dustin and Whitney’s pick:
Susan with Maple & Magnolia calls this a sleeping porch but our eyes were too busy admiring her gorgeous photos to get any shut eye. We call it the best relaxation chamber we’ve ever seen, it’s simply stunning!

Reader’s Choice
Taking the most clicks this week by far was the incredible kitchen tour by Kelly at Eclectically Vintage, and it’s easy to see why. This transformation is a real eye-popper – you won’t believe it’s even the same kitchen when you see the before shots! Her back-splash and light fixtures are absolutely fantastic!
farmhouse kitchen remodel
Tied for the next most clicked link of the party was Keeping It Cozy’s bathroom storage. This charming and clever idea is so well executed and professional it’s amazing!

Chaotically Creative shared a fun and thrifty bedroom that’s simply divine. There’s a story behind each piece and it all came together wonderfully! (oh, and do not miss her boys room reveal!)

Hearty thanks to Linda for helping us out and congratulations to all our features, it was a pleasure! If you nabbed a feature either here or on Facebook, feel free to help yourselves to one of our featured buttons.

We randomly picked a winner of the How to Slipcover DVD from Slipcovers By Shelley…drum roll please…

Hollie from I’m Busy Procrastinating was link/comment #169, congratulations Hollie, get in touch with us and we’ll arrange for your DVD to be sent! And since you mentioned you already have a project in mind, we all want to see how it turns out!
